Privacy Policy

Shamar is a facilities and asset management platform built and operated by Consign IT Private Limited ("Consign IT", "we", "us"). Shamar is a workplace tool: your organization signs up for a Shamar instance and creates your account so you can raise requests, manage assets, and track maintenance work. This policy explains what data the platform handles and how we treat it.
Data we collect
- Account details your organization provides when it creates your user: name, work email address, phone number, and role.
- Content you create in the app: maintenance requests, asset and meter records, comments, approvals, and any photos or file attachments you upload with them.
- Technical data generated when you use the service: sign-in session cookies, IP address, device and browser information, and server logs.
How we use it
- To run the service: showing work to the right people in your organization, sending notifications about requests and approvals, and keeping an audit trail of changes.
- To secure the service: authentication, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting from server logs.
- To support you when you or your organization ask us for help.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and the app contains no advertising or third-party marketing SDKs.
Who can see your data
- Your organization. Shamar is organization-scoped: what you enter is visible to other users in your organization according to the roles and permissions your administrators configure.
- Consign IT. Our engineers can access instance data only for operating, supporting, and securing the service.
- Infrastructure providers. The service runs on servers we operate with reputable hosting providers. We do not pass your data to any other third party unless the law requires it.
Storage and security
Each organization runs on its own dedicated Shamar instance with its own database. Traffic between your device and the service is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to production systems is restricted, key-based, and logged.
Retention and deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your organization's Shamar subscription is active, and handled afterwards according to our agreement with your organization. To correct or delete your personal data, or to delete your account, contact your organization's administrator or email us directly. We act on verified deletion requests within 30 days.
Children
Shamar is a workplace tool and is not directed at or intended for use by children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Significant changes are communicated to organization administrators.
